Owned by Gambian web developer and IT specialist Ousman Jah and operated by Web Plus Graphics, the platform uses the tagline “Connecting People to Work.” It is designed as an online meeting point where jobseekers can browse vacancies, and employers can advertise openings, manage listings and receive applications.
For candidates, GOLLAL.GM offers access to roles across sectors and categories. Users can review job requirements and application details, then apply either through the site or by the method specified by the employer. Organizers say the service is meant to go beyond a simple listings board by also carrying career-related information and updates.
Employers can create company profiles, submit vacancies for review, manage published posts and collect applications. Listings are subject to verification and moderation before they go live, a step the operators say is intended to improve the reliability of information on the site as more businesses turn to digital channels to recruit.
Jah’s team presents the project as the start of a wider employment ecosystem rather than a stand-alone job board. The longer-term aim is to connect jobseekers, employers and institutions through technology at a time when timely information about work remains important for young people, professionals and organizations looking for talent.
Trust is a central part of the pitch. Vacancies are reviewed before publication, and the platform issues guidance on spotting employment-related scams. Jobseekers are still urged to take the usual precautions: verify employers, read application instructions carefully, and refuse requests for inappropriate payments or sensitive personal information.
As the site grows, operators say they plan to add employer services, career resources and more employment information, as well as ways for organizations to take part in a digital recruitment network.
