Former Gambian international and now the head coach of Real De Banjul Football Club, Mr. Bai Malleh Wadda has said he and his team are going in for the glory this season after finishing third last year in the national division one league.

The Banjul-based team Real intensified their preparations ahead of the 2021-22 national division one league as they host the Senegalese cup de champions CASA sports in an international friendly on Friday at the Live Your Dream Sports complex in Basori.

“I am really impressed with the team’s performance during the course of the pre-season. We have played a couple of test games against very good opponents during this period. We have performed extremely well in all those games and what I saw is that we have a team that can win the league for us and we are going all out for the trophy this season”.

Real De Banjul made some adjustments in their team following securing the service of former Greater Tomorrow and Brikama United talisman Papis Nyassi, who finished as the second leading goal scorer in Gambia Football Federation National Division league last season.

The national division one league will commence on Friday 18th of November 2021 and will begin their campaign against the defending champions Fortune on Saturday 19th of November 2021 at the Independence Stadium in Bakau at 10pm.
