The Atlas Lionesses will host the 2022 Edition of the Africa Women’s cup of Nations from July 2nd to the 23rd of July 2002 in Morocco. The tie is a crucial encounter for the Gambia who missed out in the final rounds of the AWCON qualifiers to Cameroon.

North African giants Morocco will host the test game in Rabat on Thursday, April 7th.

‘We are fully prepared for the test match and fully committed to going out there to give a respectable performance. The girls are ready to give their best, Sowe told TAT and hailed GFF for supporting the process.

“We are grateful to the federation for the opportunity and facilitation of the avenue yet again. This is a chance for the girls to showcase their talents against a very good team.  Team Gambia recently secured a convincing 3-1 win over a selection of domestic players who are playing for various teams in the women’s national division one league at the National Technical Training Center in Yundum”.
