England

Yankuba Minteh came off the bench in Brighton’s 4-2 loss against Chelsea in the Capital. The Gambian winger replaced goalscorer Rutter in the 70th minute as the Seagulls unbeaten run was ended by brillant Cole Palmer on Saturday afternoon. Yankuba Minteh and Brighton will take on Tottenham next weekend.

In the Championship, Ebou Adams faced childhood club Norwich City as they became the first team in the last ten matches to hand the Rams a defeat at the Pride Park. Canaries attacker Borja Sainz netted a hat-trick as Norwich beat Derby County 3-2. Adams lasted for 81 minutes before being replaced by Blackett-Taylor.

Italy

Patrick Cutrone brace and one from Andrea Belotti sealed a 3-2 victory for Como against Hellas Verona as Cesc Fabregas men registered their first home win and back-to-back victory in the league. Fadera has now started the last three league matches, scoring a goal and providing an assist as he assisted Cutrone for the opener in the 43rd minute.

France

Ablie Jallow has started six of Metz 7 matches following a 3-2 defeat against Troyes. Saturday’s results left the Grenats in fifth position with 12 points. Ablie Jallow lasted the entire game.

Belgium

Standard Liege are currently occupying midtable position (8th) with 12 points following their 2-1 home defeat against Westerlo. Badamoesi, who returned to the Pro League this summer came on in the 86th minute for American Fossey as Standard Leige tried to salvage a point.

Switzerland

Young Boys have lost four league matches so far as they started their title defence on the wrong foot. Ebrima Colley, who was handed a start in the BSC 3-0 defeat against Villa, started Saturday’s match on the bench. Adama Bojang, who joined Grasshoppers in the summer on loan, was making his first matchday squad appearance. The Gambian duo played Colley, was introduced in the 71st minute, while Bojang came on in the 85th minute for his league debut.

Denmark

James Gomez was on target as OB Odense, secured their 10th win of the season. Gomez gave the visitor’s the lead with a strong header in the 10th minute as OB Odense beat Kolding 2-1.

Estonia

Paide got the better of Trans in their second meeting in five days as they edged them 3-0 to keep their European spot alive. Abdoulie Ceesay got his ninth goal of the season. Ebrima Jarju kept his sixth clean sheet in the process.

The Stockholm-based Journalist is a media officer, football Scout, PR, Influencer and Digital creator. I started my journalism career as a football analyst in 2012 with Vibes FM and went on to work with CityLimit, West Coast, Hot FM, Freedom Radio, Eye Africa and Afri Radio as a content producer and presenter. I submitted the article which was co-written alongside Momodou Bah From Living Through Despair to Being An Agent Of Hope, The Inspiring Story Of John Bass.   I have served as an advisers to Football academies, clubs, and players and others. I have hosted dozens of shows and was invited as a guest on both radio, TV and the online press. I also covered the Gambia's maiden AFCON debut in 2021 in Cameroon.
