Sidibeh, Jatta seal playoffs as Tambedou and Cham stay on fire; Colley closes in on promotion

Adama Sidibeh and Alasana Jatta both secured playoff spots in England, while Modou Saidy and Wally Fofana registered assists in Latvia.

In-form duo Bubacarr Tambedou and Alieu Cham continued their impressive scoring streaks, maintaining their strong impact for their respective clubs.

Omar Colley and his club are now just one point away from securing promotion to the Saudi Pro League.

An assist from Abdoulie Manneh and a goal from Bamba Sanyang wrapped up the weekend, while Muhamadou Kanteh set a new scoring record in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Alasana Yirajang celebrated a league title triumph, capping off a successful weekend for Gambian players abroad.

England

Newcastle United ended a four-game losing streak with a 3–1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion at St James’ Park. Yankuba Minteh missed a late golden opportunity, while goals from William Osula, Dan Burn, and Harvey Barnes secured victory.

In EFL League One, Stockport County finished third to secure a playoff spot. Adama Sidibeh scored his sixth league goal (ninth in all competitions) in a win over Barnsley FC, heading home midway through the first half before being substituted in the 72nd minute.

In EFL League Two, Alasana Jatta featured for Notts County in their 1–1 draw against Bristol Rovers. Notts County finished fifth and will face Chesterfield FC in the playoffs

Italy

US Sassuolo defeated AC Milan 2–0 to climb to ninth place in Serie A. Alieu Fadera came on in the 84th minute, while goals from Berardi and Laurienté extended Milan’s winless run.

Germany

Abdoulie Ceesay scored his first goal for FC St. Pauli, pulling one back against Mainz 05. Martijn Kaars set him up with a clever through ball, and Ceesay calmly squeezed his finish past goalkeeper Finn Dahmen.

Despite the goal, St. Pauli remain winless in their last eight matches, including the defeat away to Mainz. With two games remaining, they sit 17th in the Bundesliga on 26 points, as they continue to battle relegation.

Turkey

Çaykur Rizespor edged Konyaspor 3–2 at home in an entertaining encounter. Ali Sowe was heavily involved throughout, brilliantly setting up Dylan Mebude, whose effort struck the crossbar.

Sowe remained a constant threat, forcing a poor clearance from the goalkeeper that eventually led to a goal, and later tested the defense again with a shot from the right that went off target. He also came close to extending the lead but missed from close range.

Meanwhile, Alieu Cham continued his outstanding form for İstanbulspor, scoring a brace and providing an assist in a dominant 8–1 victory. Cham netted with a diving header in the 28th minute and added a second from a rebound in the 47th minute. He nearly completed his first hat-trick, only for VAR to rule it out, before assisting in the 65th minute to cap a superb performance.

Sweden
Mjällby AIF have now collected 10 points from their last four league matches following an impressive 3–2 victory over Malmö FF.

Abdoulie Manneh registered his second assist of the season, setting up Nicklas Stroud in the 49th minute. Manneh, who played 89 minutes, was instrumental in the move—launching a counterattack on the left before delivering a clever backheel pass into Stroud’s path. Stroud drove forward, cut inside, and calmly slotted the ball into the bottom corner to make it 2–0.

Denmark

Yaya Bojang made his 25th appearance for Odense Boldklub, coming on in the 69th minute. However, OB fell short as Silkeborg IF sealed the game late.

Latvia
Modou Saidy and Wally Fofana both registered assists on matchday 10. FK RFS came from behind to secure a thrilling 4–3 win over Ogre United.

Saidy made his 10th appearance and played the full 90 minutes, assisting Ismaël Diomandé in the 17th minute his first goal contribution of the season. Haruna Rashid Njie was introduced in the 84th minute, marking his fifth appearance. RFS now sit top of the table with 25 points after 10 matches.

Wally Fofana also played a key role in FK Auda’s 2–1 away victory, providing a low cross from the left that was converted by Vergara for his second assist of the season. He later delivered another dangerous cross to Edvin Bongemba, but the effort was saved.

Muhammed Badamosi came close to scoring, registering two chances and playing 83 minutes in a 1–0 win over FK Liepāja, as his side closed the gap to two points at the top.

Croatia
Bamba Sanyang scored his third league goal for NK Varaždin. Introduced in the 82nd minute, he made an instant impact creating chances before sealing the result by finishing off a counterattack to put the game beyond reach

Slovakia

Alasana Yirajang celebrated a league title as his club secured the Slovak First Football League crown.

Modou Lamin Marong also scored his eighth league goal for FC ŠTK 1914 Šamorín.

Estonia
Paide Linnameeskond suffered back-to-back defeats after a narrow home loss to Tartu JK Tammeka. Goalkeeper Ebrima Jarju made four important saves, including a crucial double stop in the 14th minute. However, the visitors were awarded a late penalty and converted in the 86th minute to secure the win.

Momodou Jobarteh and Pa Modou Sohna both started on the left flank, while Muhammed Badamosi and Pa Amat Cham were unused substitutes. Muhammed Hydara was also named on the bench.

Meanwhile, Bubacarr Tambedou extended his lead at the top of the scoring charts in the Premium Liiga  with his ninth goal of the season, helping FCI Levadia to a 2–1 comeback win over FC Kuressaare.

Tambedou equalized in the 51st minute, positioning himself smartly between two defenders before connecting with a pass from Skvortsov. The striker has now scored in six consecutive matches, continuing his red-hot form.

Mihkel Ainsalu later netted the winner from a free kick in a match where Levadia were repeatedly denied by goalkeeper Kaur Nõmm.

Ukraine

Muhamadou Kanteh set a historic record, becoming the highest single-season goalscorer in the Ukrainian U19 Championship with 25 goals in his debut campaign.

Saudi Arabia

Omar Colley provided an assist as Al-Diriyah Club beat Abha Club 2–0. The club now sits second and is just one win away from promotion to the Saudi Pro League.

Bangladesh

Pa Omar Babou scored a brace for Fortis FC in a 3–2 win over Rahmatganj MFS, taking his tally to eight league goals.
