Brikama United female team centre back Jankey Bojang has passed away on Tuesday evening in Foni Kanfenda where she was receiving treatments for her illness.
The outstanding young solid defender who missed the whole of last season due to illness was later laid to rest in her native village of Casa Kunda at 5 p.m.
The club expressing their grief on their social media sites stated.
“Jankey is beautiful both in and out, and if discipline could prevent someone from death, she would have lived forever because she was hundred per cent disciplined”.
On the same post, a teammate stated: “She respected everyone at the club both teammates and her coaches”.
