Adama Bojang, Nfansu Njie, and Adama Sidibeh were all on the scoresheet over the weekend, while Solomon Kanform and Pa Omar Babou each netted braces to cap off an impressive weekend for Gambian players abroad.

In Bangladesh, Solomon Kanform and Pa Omar Babou scored two goals apiece to help their respective clubs climb to 2nd and 3rd place in the Bangladesh Premier League. In Hungary, Nfansu Njie came off the bench to double his club’s lead, while in Malta, Mustapha Jah returned to the starting XI for Floriana and played a key role in their 2–1 victory, winning a penalty for the fifth time this season.

France

Adama Bojang grabbed another goal in the Coupe de France, this time against IC Croix. The young forward scored Stade de Reims’ third goal in the 34th minute with a delightful chip. It was Bojang’s second goal in his last three matches. In Ligue2  Reims currently sit 3rd in their push for promotion back to Ligue 1.

Scotland

St Johnstone extended their lead at the top of the Scottish Championship to five points following a dominant 5–0 win over Greenock Morton. Adama Sidibeh scored the fifth goal in the 76th minute and also provided an assist earlier in the match.

Sidibeh was heavily involved throughout the contest. He created the first chance of the game with a low cross to Stanton, who failed to convert. Later, Sidibeh pressed aggressively to win possession and set up a 2v1 situation, selflessly assisting Gullan for St Johnstone’s third goal just before halftime.

The forward later capped his performance with a glancing header from a Forrester cross, directing the ball into the bottom corner. Sidibeh now has nine goal contributions this season (5 goals, 4 assists).

Serbia

Mahmudu Bajo made his ninth league appearance for FK Crvena Zvezda, coming on in the 73rd minute during their emphatic 4–0 win over Mladost. The Gambian international replaced Elsnik as Red Star cruised to victory.

Turkey

Ebrima Ceesay scored for the second consecutive match for Samsunspor’s U19 side as they played out a 1–1 draw against Göztepe in the Turkish U19 Super Lig.

Hungary

Nfansu Njie scored his second league goal of the season in a 2–0 win over Puskás Akadémia. The forward found the net just nine minutes after coming on as a substitute. He was initially denied from close range but made no mistake with his second opportunity, firing into the bottom corner.

Malta

Floriana opened up a four-point lead at the top of the Maltese Premier League table following a 2–1 win over Sliema. Mustapha Jah started the match and played 71 minutes. He was denied a clear scoring opportunity after being pushed down inside the six-yard box by defender Alcino.

Bangladesh

Captain Pa Omar Babou scored a brace, finishing both goals from tight angles, with Essa Jallow providing the assist for his second. Solomon Kanform also struck twice in the 83rd and 88th minutes before assisting Clement Adu to complete a remarkable comeback against Brothers Union. Kanform now has four goals and seven assists in 14 league appearances.
