Alasana Jatta continues impressive run in League Two

England

Mohammed Kudus cancelled Mats Wieffer’s opener as the Seagulls played a 1-1 draw against West Ham at the London Stadium. Yankuba Minteh came off the bench for the sixth time and added offensive contribution as Brighton searched for  the winner. The seagulls are without a win in their last five Premier League matches.

Alasana Jatta was close to registering his first hat trick  for Notts County only to be denied in the 53rd minute. Jatta scored in the 28th and 32nd minutes of the game and went on to assist McGoldricks as Notts County secured a convincing 3-0 win over Bradford in the Skybet League Two.

France

Gambian duo Ablie Jallow and Saikou Touray missed their respective league games this weekend. Touray was not in the Grenoble squad which lost 3-2 to AS Cannes while Jallow did not make the match day squad as his side Metz was walloped 3-0 by Troyes.

Turkey

Fourth placed Göztepe beat Rizespor 3-0 on Sunday. Ali Sowe came close to opening the deadlock, only for his effort to hit the right post.

Croatia

Hajduk Split left it late to secure a 2-1 win over Sibenik in the Croatian HNL matchday 18. Goals from Livaja and Krovinovic sealed the win. Abdoulie Sanyang replaced Durdov in the 68th minute. Hajduk is currently sitting in second position with 36 points.

Bangladesh

Gambia players in Bangladesh witnessed a mixed result over the weekend. Fortis FC were held to a 1-1 draw against Dhaka WC. While Brothers Union, who have Zakaria Darboe and Mustapha Drammeh, lost away to Rahmatganj by 3-1. Fortis sits 7th on the log while Brothers Union are sitting 4th on the log.

Senegal

Both Teungueth FC and Guediawaye FC lost 1-0 respectively to As Pikine and WallyDaan. The latest defeat for the defending champions saw them drop to fourth position while Guediawaye sits in 10th place. Abdoulie Kah , who is the  November player of the month and Matarr Ceesay  all started for the champions. Kaibro Joof led the attack for Guediawaye.

Baboucarr Fallaboweh Sports Editor (Buba Jallow Fallaboweh) is a Gambian football expert, football analyst & columnist. The Stockholm-based Journalist is a media officer, football Scout, PR, Influencer and Digital creator. I started my journalism career as a football analyst in 2012 with Vibes FM and went on to work with CityLimit, West Coast, Hot FM, Freedom Radio, Eye Africa and Afri Radio as a content producer and presenter. In 2013, I attended Football Daily on the BBC SPORTS where we discussed the different styles of Football played in Africa. I submitted the article which was co-written alongside Momodou Bah From Living Through Despair to Being An Agent Of Hope, The Inspiring Story Of John Bass.   I have served as an advisers to Football academies, clubs, and players and others. I have hosted dozens of shows and was invited as a guest on both radio, TV and the online press. I also covered the Gambia's maiden AFCON debut in 2021 in Cameroon.
