Lamin Fatty, the head coach of the team, expressed his gratitude towards his family, friends and fans for their unwavering belief in him, stating, “Today is my last game,” hinting at a possible resignation after this remarkable performance.
Reflecting on the journey, Lamin Jallow, the star goal scorer for the team, “After we were disqualified from the league’s group stage, we knew that making a turnaround and gaining the fans’ trust again had to take sweat and tears. So, we worked harder at the training ground, and it really paid off.” His words highlight the team’s commitment to overcoming adversity and their dedication to reclaiming their position in the league. He indicated.
Jallow emphasized the importance of mentality in the game, saying, “The game is 90% mindset, trust me.” Despite a rocky start, he maintained a bulletproof mindset, believing in his ability to make a significant impact. He credited his wonderful teammates for their support, which fueled his confidence. “My parents were on the stands and witnessed the goal; it was the best feeling ever,” he added, showcasing the emotional connection that drives athletes to perform at their best.
