In an exhilarating showdown at the Brikama Box Baa Mini Stadium yesterday, the West Coast Region Zonal competition’s 4th edition final ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw between Foni and Brufut. Both teams showcased remarkable skill and determination, keeping fans on the edge of their seats throughout the match.
Brufut struck first in the 7th minute of the game, taking an early lead with a well-placed goal through Omar Jarju that ignited their supporters. However, Foni responded quickly, equalizing in the 16th minute later through Modou Lamin Colley with a stunning goal. The back-and-forth continued as both teams fought hard, with Brufut regaining the lead before Famara Jarju leveled the score for Foni again in the second half.
The match concluded in a stalemate, with neither team able to secure a victory. This led to the decision that the game would be replayed.
