Czech Republic

The Czech Republic Chance League campaign kicked off over the weekend with both Ebrima Singhateh and Lamin Jawo finding the back of the net for their clubs. The latter settled for a draw.

Karvina registered a comfortable 2-0 win against Dukla Praha. Ebrima Singhateh gave the host the lead in the 26th minute following a set piece rebound. The former Paide forward beat the goalkeeper at close range. Singhateh went on to provide two goal-scoring opportunities in the 36th & 56th minutes, but teammates failed to convert them.

Elsewhere, FK Jablonec settled for a 1-1 draw against Sparta Praha. The first 20 minutes saw both teams creating goal-scoring opportunities. Lamin Jawo, who permanently moved to Jablonec, broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute with a well-struck goal. The visitors fought back and settled for a draw.

New signing Youssoupha Sanyang was an unused substitution in Slavia Praha’s 2-2 draw at home against Hradec.
