It was a fine weekend for Gambian players abroad as they continued to prove their mettle in their various leagues.
Alasana Jatta and Alagie Saine were among the scorers with Alieu Fadera, also setting up a penalty for Como in the Italian Serie A.
Elsewhere, Abdoulie Manneh and his Mjällby side are inches away from lifting the Allsvenskan in Sweden as the Gambian attacker set up one of the goals in theor 2-1 win over Goteborgs IF.

England
Alasana Jatta was on target at the lane as he registered his second goal of the season. Jatta’s left-foot finish beat the keeper in the 49th minute. Notts County still sits in ninth position despite their 3-1 win over Oldham Athletic. Jatta was also involved in Notts County’s first goal.
Italy
This is the second time Alieu Fadera has won a penalty for his side. Friday’s victory was huge for Sassuolo as they registered their third victory of the season in nine matches.

Suat Serdar fouled Alieu Fadera in the Verona penalty box; Pinamonti stepped up, and despite a fine save from Montipo to deny him, he converted the rebound.
Germany
Bremen hanged on to the lead provided by Mbangula early on to claim their first three points in the league at home this campaign. Blessin’s triple change injected more attacking power into Pauli, but they couldn’t find an equalizer. Abdoulie Ceesay replaced Lars Ritzka in the 71st minute to make his third appearance in the Bundesliga.
Serbia
Mahmudu Bajo delivered an outstanding performance on his third league appearance for Red Star Belgrade as they beat Napredak 3-0 in the Serbian Super League on Sunday.
Bajo completed the most dribbles (3) and had the most accurate passes (84) in the match, while also contributing 4 defensive plays, 24 final third passes, 7 recoveries, and 8 duels with 106 touches in 90 minutes.
Denmark
Fresh from providing an assist against Hillerod, Alagie Saine scored his first goal of the season for AC Horsens at home against Hobro. Saine has now featured in AC Horsens’s last three league matches, scoring one and assisting one. The former Gambia U20 international has been used in three different positions in various formations. AC Horsens are fourth on the log, three points shy of Hillerod after matchday nine.
Sweden
Mjällby has to wait until after the international break to seal the Allsvenskan title. They beat Elfsborg 2-0, but Hammarby also defeated Göteborg 2-1.
Mjällby is currently on an 18 league- match, with 63 points after matchday 26. Goals from Petterson and Bergström sealed a 2-0 victory, with Abdoulie Manneh being involved in the first goal.
Suwaibou Kebbeh helped Hammarby TFF to put pressure on league leaders by scoring and assisting in Hammarby TFF’s 3-1 win over FC Arlanda in the Swedish Ettan Norra on Sunday. Kebbeh started the game, and this is his sixth goal involvement: three goals and three assists.
Finland
Musa Jatta scored his first Finnish Veikkausliiga goal of the season for AC Oulu in their 2-0 win over Vaasan Palloseura on Saturday. The win has secured safety for Oulu to remain in the Finnish top-tier league.
Estonia
Bubacarr Trawally only failed to find the back of the net against Harjuk following his opener against Kuressaare in the Estonian Premium Liga. Trawally now has three goals, and one assists in four league appearances.
Malta
Mustapha Jah scored his fourth league goal; Jah broke the deadlock in the 15th minute. Jah has now been awarded back-to-back penalties thrice this season; however, his effort was saved by the host goalkeeper in the 18th minute.
Mustapha Jah scored the only goal of the game to help his side, FC Floriana, beat Hibernians 1-0 in the Maltese Premier League on Friday.
Ukraine
Baboucarr Faal got his second goal in three matches as the former Hawk striker gave Rukh Lviv the lead in their 2-0 win over Kolos Kovalivka in the Ukraine Premier League.
Faal now has four goals, two in the league and two in the Ukraine Cup.
Muhamadou Kanteh scored his 11th league goal and also provided an assist for his side, FC Shakhtar Donetsk, in a 3-0 win over LNZ Cherkasy in the Ukrainian U19 Premier League on Saturday. He has 15 goal contributions in 7 matches.
Saudi Arabia
Omar Colley scored his 26th professional goal in 350 appearances. The Gambian captain doubled Diriyah’s lead in the 45th minute against Al Jandal. The Gambian skipper was withdrawn and seems to have pulled a hamstring; however, Diriyah went on to seal the victory with 3-0.
