Gambian international striker Dembo Darboe has joined United Arab Emirates side Al Nasr (Al Ameed) for a three-year contract from Belarusian club Shakhter Soligorsk in a deal worth €1.5 Million.
The Brikama-born talisman was instrumental for his club last season in Belarus, scoring some decisive and match-winning goals for the Shakhter Soligorsk side that earned him a fan’s favorite player in the club throughout his stay in the country.
The former Tallinding United and Real De Banjul forward bid farewell to the Soligorsk fans after completing his move to the United Arab Emirates through his social media platforms.
“Today, I say goodbye to what has been my home for the past 1-year seven months. I want to thank everyone who has accompanied me during this time, including the club president, staff, the medical services, and all the staff who took care of us. Thanks, you, Shakhter Soligorsk,” Darboe wrote.
