Yanga’s jinx of not reaching the Caf Champions league extended to 23 years as they lost in Khartoum by a 1-0. Nevertheless, the Sudanese giants are through to the 2022/23 CAF Champions League group stages.

Jarjou, who had 14 goals and 16 assists during his stint with CasaSports, said he is looking forward to the group stages.

“Another big achievement to play in the competition. It’s the biggest competition. I am looking forward to it. The objective of the team is to go further in the competition. As a forward player, you aim to score and help your team win many games. I have a target to score many goals and be among the top scorers”. He stressed.

Elsewhere, Gambia U20 captain Kajally drammeh and Cape Town City lost 4-0 on aggregate to Angolan side Petro De Luanda. Kajally started both matches. The citizens will know their opponent in Tuesday’s draw of the additional second preliminary round of the 2022/2023 CAF TotalEnergies Confederation Cup.
