Two active-duty Police Officers shot to death, one in critical condition

Alkamba Times can authoritatively report that two serving members of the Gambia Police Force under the Police Intervention Unit, commonly known as the ‘P.I.U.,’ Pateh Jallow and Sang J Gomez, were shot to death by an unknown person currently on the run.

According to our investigations, the third officer, a female, survived the attack in a critical but stable condition.

Police sources said the incident happened at Sukuta Jabang Highway, and a search for the suspect is underway to apprehend him. Meanwhile, at the time of the post, no reason has been advanced as to what may have caused the killing of the two P.I.U. Officers.

Police sources say the victims were taken to Sukuta Health Center, then referred to Ndemban Clinic for further medical treatment, where the male and female officers were pronounced deceased by doctors.

A female officer named Nancy Jallow sustained a severe injury; the other two were believed to be dead.
