Dynamic Energy and General Trading Company Ltd is currently facing significant financial challenges due to an alleged incident involving a couple who reportedly absconded with goods valued at D3,838,750.
Among the items are a substantial amount of Sunflower Oil, a well-known brand of cooking oil, along with various other products.
According to Pa Saibo Beyai, a company representative, the couple—Adama Sillah and her husband, Alagie Sanneh—had previously conducted business with the company on multiple occasions.
“The lady, Adama Sillah, normally visits the store with her husband, Alagie Sanneh. According to the storekeeper, they took around 300 to 400 cartons of goods, claiming they had customers to deliver to and promised to bring the money. On three occasions, they followed through and brought the payment,” Beyai told TAT.
However, their most recent transaction left the company in a financial crisis, as the couple failed to return the money or the goods. “They took 2,075 cartons for D1,850 per carton, equivalent to two containers, amounting to D3,838,750,” Beyai explained.
“When we last spoke to her, she said she was coming to clarify the situation but never showed up. It’s been three months now,” he added, expressing frustration at the company’s financial limbo and the lack of any sign of the couple’s return.
The company continues to grapple with economic uncertainty as the individuals accused of wrongdoing avoid communication or contact. This prolonged evasion exacerbates the challenges faced by the company, creating a sense of ongoing instability and concern.
Meanwhile, TAT has attempted to contact the couples, but our efforts have been unsuccessful as they are not responding to calls and text messages.
