The Sports Journalists’ Association of The Gambia (SJAG) has signed a partnership agreement with Wakilo Innovations as part of preparations for the 8th AIPS Africa Congress, scheduled to take place from 6th to 9th February 2026 at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Centre in Banjul.
Under the agreement, Wakilo Innovations will provide printing and branding services for the congress, which is expected to bring together sports journalists, media professionals, and key sporting personalities from across Africa and beyond.
Reacting to the partnership, SJAG President Omar Jarju described the collaboration as a timely and productive step towards delivering a historic event.
“This is a productive collaboration with one of the best printing service providers in The Gambia. Wakilo is well known for its professionalism, and at our level, we are delighted to partner with Wakilo Innovations to ensure the success of this major event,” Jarju said.
“Such partnerships are meant to elevate standards, and this is already evident in the quality of work delivered so far.”
For Wakilo Innovations, the partnership represents a proud moment and an opportunity to contribute to the success of a major international sporting media event.

The signing ceremony was attended by Momodou Gajaga, Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee of the AIPS Banjul Congress, alongside other members of the media committee, who reaffirmed the association’s commitment to hosting a well-organised and professionally executed continental event.
The AIPS Africa Congress aims to bring together sports journalists and key stakeholders from across the continent to deliberate, collaborate, and shape the future of African sports journalism.
