A Gambian migrant Kabiro Njie reportedly passed away in Italy on March 27th, 2022 after falling from a high-rise building in Italy.
Sources close to TAT informed this medium that the deceased Kabiro Njie sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized for almost three months after his fall from a high-rise building at a migrant camp in Southern Italy.
The incident was linked to a major scare caused when a fire broke out in the migrant camp.
The deceased who hails from Tallinding in The Gambia was residing in Italy for some years.
TAT learned that efforts are being employed to transport the deceased back to The Gambia for burial.
“Being undocumented is akin to living like a ghost, you simply don’t exist in the system,” a source at the migrant camp expressed.
