Ebrima Baldeh, identified as a resident of Samba Tacko village in Basse, Upper River Region, is reported to have allegedly taken his own life on Monday, June 24, 2024.

Ebrima was reported missing since Sunday evening and was later discovered deceased in a bush on the outskirts of the village, with a rope tied around his neck.

Ebrima, in his forties, worked as a tractor driver and was married with five children at the time of his untimely demise.

The death of Ebrima has left many of his friends, relatives, and family members in shock and disbelief as they could not still establish what purpose he must have committed suicide.

The Alkamba Times contacted the Police Public Relations Officer, who, at the time of this report, had limited information about the case but promised to provide an update by Tuesday morning.
