Gambia U20 to play Dominican Republic in Int’l friendly game ahead of WC in Argentina

The Gambia U20 team, under the guidance of Coach Abdoulie Bojang, will play an international friendly against the Dominican Republic on the 16th of May, 2023, in Mendoza, Argentina, ahead of the global youth football showpiece. 

Team Manager Pa Suwareh Faye disclosed to Alkamba Times Sports that the training would be an excellent opportunity for the Gambia U20.

“We are leaving the Gambia on the 12th of May, and we will have an international friendly on the 16th of May against the Dominican Republic is already finalized, but that game will be in Mendoza, Argentina,” Faye said.

Team manager Pa Faye said, ‘In a few days, most foreign base players will be in Banjul to join the rest of their teammates.’

“We are expecting six to seven of our players from abroad. They have started coming, and you have seen Muhammed Jobe, who played today.
Kajally will arrive around 6 pm today. Mboma will be coming on Monday, Mamin Sanyang will be picked up, and he will meet us in Buenos Aries.
So having this week training in the Gambia is a perfect thing,” Faye told The Alkamba Times Sports.

The Gambia is in group F paired with Honduras, South Korea, and France. The young scorpions will open their account on the 22nd of May, 2023, in Mendoza, Argentina.
