Finland
Musa Jatta replaced Pitkanen in the 24th minute as AC Oulu edged KTP 3-2. Jatta and AC Oulu are 12th on the league table with 10 points. AC Oulu has registered two wins and a draw.

Estonia
Tallinn Kalev and Momodou Jallow collected three crucial points, this time against Harju. Kalev have now won back-to-back league games and are currently unbeaten in their last three matches in all competitions. Momodou Jallow continues to be pivotal in their defense.

Romania
CFR Cluj left it late to secure all three points. Daniel Dumbravanu scored in the 94th minute courtesy of Sheriff Sinyan’s assist. The 2-1 victory against Unirea Slobozia has seen Cluj opened the season on a bright account.

League Cups
RFS reached the next round of the Latvian Cup following their narrow 1-0 win over Jelgava. Rashid Njie, who played 90 minutes in Tallinn, was rested on Saturday’s league cup tie.

St. Johnstone emerged 3-1 winners against East Kilbride on Saturday. Adama Sidibeh doubled the visitors lead in the 59th minute.

Friendly matches
A handful of Gambian foreign-based players were involved in friendly matches over the weekend.

Stade de Reims beat Zulte Waregem 5-2, with Adama Bojang scoring the fourth goal in the 74th minute. Stade de Reims will play against a French club before meeting OH Leuven of Belgium.

Kicking off their preseason with back-to-back defeats, Odense have now won one and drawn one as they prepare for the Superliga following their 2-0 win against Randers. James Gomez played the entire game, while Yaya Bojang was introduced in the 60th minute.

Hajduk Split registered their 3rd win in a row following their 1-0 win against Posusje. Abdoulie Sanyang was introduced in the 75th minute as Hajduk protected its lead courtesy of Livaja’s goal in the 14th minute.

Sainey Sanyang scored a fourth-minute goal in CSKA Sofia’s win against Radnicki, their first victory in five attempts in the ongoing preseason.

Momodou Jatta and Sarajevo tasted defeat following their 2-1 loss in Slovenia against Varazdin. Jatta was handed a start.

I started my journalism career as a football analyst in 2012 with Vibes FM and went on to work with CityLimit, West Coast, Hot FM, Freedom Radio, Eye Africa and Afri Radio as a content producer and presenter.
