Gambian footballers continued to make headlines over the weekend with standout performances across Denmark, Slovakia, Slovenia and Senegal, as several players found the back of the net. Adama Bojang returned from injury to strengthen Stade de Reims in the French cup.
France
Adama Bojang marked his return from an eight-week ankle injury with a starting berth for Stade de Reims in their Coupe de France Round 7 fixture. The Gambian striker played 90 minutes before being substituted as Reims secured a narrow 1–0 victory over Olympique Charville.
Slovenia
Muhammed Hydara maintained his fine scoring run, netting his fourth goal in six matches for his club. The former BST Galaxy forward struck the equaliser in the 22nd minute which was his fourth home goal of the season as they settled for a 2–2 draw against MFK Zvolen.
Slovakia
Alasana Yirajang continued his excellent form in the Slovnaft Cup, scoring a brace against Trencianske Stankovce to take his tally to three goals in three cup appearances. The former Real de Banjul striker scored in the 52nd and 71st minutes, and also had another effort ruled out for offside.
Meanwhile, former Team Rhino midfielder Mohammed Sallah made his second start for FK Železiarne, helping them to a 3–2 win over FC Nitra. The match marked his sixth appearance in all competitions this season.
Denmark
Omar Jarju capped off his final match for Brabrand IF with a goal, scoring his fourth league strike of the campaign in the 11th minute against FC Roskilde. The forward intercepted a misplaced pass before outpacing two defenders and finishing confidently.
Jarju departs Brabrand after making 10 appearances, including six starts, contributing four goals and one assist.
Senegal
The Senegalese topflight remains tightly contested, with five teams level on seven points after matchday three. CasaSports climbed to the summit thanks to Ansumana Samura’s composed 53rd-minute finish. The forward positioned himself between two defenders to meet Pape Semou Sané’s cross, securing the club’s second home victory of the season.
Generation Foot’s early-season struggles persisted as they fell to another defeat, this time in Dakar, where Abdou Aziz Cissé’s fifth-minute goal handed TFC all three points.
