The Gambia Police Force is investigating the death of an 86-year-old German national found at his residence on Monday, October 26. The Sanchaba Sulay Jobe Police Post was notified of the discovery.
Officers secured the premises and carried out a crime scene examination. Preliminary observations identified injuries suspected to be stab wounds. The cause of death has not been confirmed and remains subject to medical examination.
Gambia Police Force, in a late Thursday statement, said investigators are working to establish the full circumstances of the death. Police have appealed for public assistance, urging anyone with relevant information to contact the nearest police station or call 9968885.
Police have not released further details about the victim or possible suspects as inquiries continue.
