The Gambia’s Under-20 female team is preparing ahead of a major clash against Burkina Faso in the Fifa U20 world cup qualifier on September 24.
As part of preparations, the team played a series of test matches with the senior national team (queen scorpions) and lost by 2 nil in the first test game.
Coach Foday Bah said the team looks formidable and he hopes for a win against the Burkinabe side.
“Playing with the senior team is helping me to understand our strength and weaknesses, we lost the first test game by 2 nil and draw 3-3 in the second with another 1-1 tie, which is not bad. The good thing is we are scoring. what we need to work on now is our defense because we are conceding as well” he said
The team will be heading to camp on Tuesday before they travel to Ouagadougou.________
