The Ballers For Life (B4L) initiative has officially launched the second edition of its “Goals for Trees” campaign for the 2025 season, building on the success of last year’s effort that united football with environmental stewardship.
In 2024, B4L partnered with local stakeholders and communities in Kombo East, planting thousands of trees and donating footballs to young people. The campaign inspired environmental awareness at the grassroots level, using the beautiful game as a symbol of hope and purpose.

Now, “Goals for Trees 2025” is back, bigger and greener. For every goal and assist in the B4L U17 Youth League, a tree will be planted again, transforming match-day performance into measurable climate impact.
This year’s edition includes 24 youth teams, each committing to plant trees and promote eco-consciousness throughout the season.
Lamin Fatty TK organizer of B4L Youth League, speaking about the campaign’s expanded vision, said:
“This season, every team in the B4L Youth League will take part in planting trees during our events. We’re encouraging our players, fans, and communities to be the change they want to see. Environmental protection must be a priority for everyone.”

Lamin Dr. Bojang also emphasized the power of sport to influence social change:
“Football has a powerful influence. It brings people together. We’re using that energy to drive environmental action. When a game can attract a crowd, it can also spread a message. That’s how we make protecting the environment a team sport.”
B4L continues its mission of turning passion into purpose. With every goal scored, assist made, and tree planted, young athletes are reminded that their actions on and off the pitch shape the future.
🌍 This season, every stat counts.
🌱⚽ Play with purpose. Plant with pride. ⚽
