Red Hawks football club is still searching for its first point in the 2021-22 Gambia Football Federation division two league following a poor start to the season.

The Kanifing based team lost their three opening matches of the season against King West, Medical FC and Greater Tomorrow respectively.

Coach Modou Bah’s charges must at least collect a point in their next match in order to ignite the teams confidence and keep their dream of promotion to the first division division come next season.

Upper River Regions Wagadou FC is currently second from bottom on the second division league table with only a point following their 1-all draw with early pace setters Tallinding United who won their opening two matches as they begin  life in the second division on a high note following their relegation from the first division last season.

The Basse based Wagadou FC will do everything possible to collect their first maximum points in the second division next weekend when they face Jam City on Thursday at the Jarra Soma mini stadium in the Lower River Region while Red Hawks will take on Kanifing East on Tuesday at the independence stadium in Bakau.

This year’s second division league promises to be a highly competitive and contested affair with eighteen (18) teams competing for the first time in Gambian football history.
