Young Gambian journalist & CEO of Africa Citizens Radio Mamour Mbenga alias Kiffa has bagged an executive certificate in football business and HR from the University of Valley View (VVU) Accra, Ghana, in partnership with Linked Sports Business College.
Kiffa, as he is fondly called, left for Ghana earlier in March for his program in Accra and was the only Gambian student amongst many other West Africans.
The course program is an advanced foundation level that intends to give graduates the understanding and knowledge needed to transfer market skills, marketing, and branding, among others.
The young passionate cum football administrator said part of his inspiration to take the course is to effectively work with football stakeholders to better the game in the country.
“My goal and passion are to give back to my country. To share a skill set to professionalize our football industry and create the parachute avenue for athletes to benefit and participate in the international football arena. To support implement projects, especially grassroots level and create more room for improvement for clubs and athletes career,” he said while commenting on his achievement.
Kiffa is currently part of a young potential continental sport group stakeholders, a newly established project dupped Africa Sports Agency (ASA). Its goal and objective are to support and promote African football through pieces of training, development programs for athletes, and marketing platform through digital media networks.
“This is already initiated, and I am part of the founders and board members. Its headquarters will be in Ghana, and the subsidiary company will be registered in the Gambia soon”” he said
Kiffa said he believes in giving back to his communities, especially in football.
The ”narcotic goodwill ambassador” is also known to be fighting illicit drugs and crime through his recently initiated project ”Hope for Tomorrow’campaigning against illegal drugs in the sporting industry.
According to him, his goal is to support grassroots football.
“Conduct training in the following professional areas and create room for improvement for clubs and athletes’ careers. I’m an agent of change and am willing to work with everyone,” He said.
He is the CEO and Co-Founder of a newly established grassroots football club Dolphin Stars Football FC. In addition, he s a Certified Global Master Trainer on Substance Use Disorders.
