Real De Banjul brushes aside the academy boys, Samger Football Club, by thumping them 5-0 to two points clear of Steve Biko at the apex of the Gambia Football Federation’s top-tier league.

Real De Banjul’s diminutive star, Modou Lamin Demba, was at the center of the White’s annihilating 5-0 battering of Samger as he scored a brilliant brace in the second half in the 60th and 75th minutes. Before Demba’s double in the second half, Alagie Ceesay and Salifu Colley had already given Real De Banjul a commanding 2-0 lead in the first stanza.

Former Bombada Football Club center forward Ousman Kujabi rounded up the scores in the 90+2 to compound the Academy boy’s woes.

Real De Banjul, a point adrift of Steve Biko FC, is now on top of the league with 14 points after their commanding win in the GFF Week 6.

Elsewhere, Falcons Football Club condemned the petroleum boys, Fortune Football Club, to their second successive defeat thanks to Bakary Touray’s 13th-minute strike.

Team Rhino Football Club celebrated a 2-1 victory over struggling PSV Wellingara to move up to 6 in the GFF Division 1 table standings, while Wallidan Football Club secured a hard-fought 1-0 over Hawks Football Club in the Banjul derby thanks to Dawda Darboe’s clever finish in the 62nd minutes of the pulsating encounter.
