Gambian International Bubacarr Trawally has returned to full training after successfully recovering from a knee injury that kept him out of action for almost 10 Months.
Trawally suffered an Injury against Chad in March 2022 and missed the entire AFCON qualifiers, which saw the Gambia book their ticket to the Ivory Coast for the tournament.
For the National team, the Scorpions fans will likely see Trawally in the World Cup qualifiers against Burundi and Ivory Coast.
Hammarby Head coach Marti Cifuentes told his club media in his Friday press conference that having the Gambian star back is a nice feeling.
“We have struggled with long-term injuries in the spring, and now it’s nice to have all the players available. It’s very Nice to have Steve (Trawally) back in training. It gives more internal competition, something that is always healthy for the group, puts pressure on the players who are performing well, and also gives us options before and during the games.” He stressed
” The energy is brilliant; they are coming to help the team, and we need to be patient with him (Trawally)because he is coming from a long-term injury. Perhaps he is not ready for this weekend but will greatly contribute to the season’s final stages.”
Hammarby, who currently sits in 5th position with 35 points, has nine league games left, including big encounters against IFK Göteborg (Home) & Djurgården (Away).
Traally, who found the back of the net twice against Häcken and IFK Göteborg, is buzzing to return.
“It’s been challenging mentally to come to a new club and get an injury like this. But the club has helped with the mental and supported me in my rehab. It has made it easier. I’m just looking forward to playing again, so it’s just positive feelings,” Trawally indicated
