Gambian trio Abdoulie Gassama(CasaSports), Ismaila Ceesay(Guediawaye FC), and Yusupha Sanyang (Teungueth FC) were all on the score sheet in the Senegalese Ligue 1 over the weekend.
Gassama netted a brace in his side’s 4-2 away defeat to Teungueth FC, whereas Yusupha Sanyang registered his first TFC goal. On-loan defender Saikou Barrow made his debut for the 2020/2021 champions.
Guediawaye FC kept their title credentials intact and returned to the table’s summit following their 3-1 win over GenerationFoot. Ismaila Ceesay assisted Cheikh Ibra Diouf in the game’s first minute before doubling the host’s lead with a sublime free kick to take his tally to four goals.
Gambians have now registered 12 goals in Senegal, with Abdoulie Gassama scoring a brace on Sunday.
The league is on break until after the CHAN Championship ends on 4th February.
Saikou Barrow, the Gunjur born, helped TFC to its third win of the season after having a winless run in their last five matches (L3 D2). He told TAT Sports that he is elated to feature for a top team.

Kebba Sambou and Sheikh Omar Faye are still nursing ankle injuries and were not in action.
